Editor-in-Chief Interview:

1. Could you elaborate on your perspective regarding the significance of "Open & Impact" in the context of our journal's founding philosophy?

As the Editor-in-Chief of Energy Lab, I firmly believe that "Open & Impact" is the cornerstone of our mission to advance scientific knowledge. By ensuring that groundbreaking research is openly accessible to the global community, we amplify its potential to inspire and inform future discoveries. This philosophy aligns with the belief that science thrives when knowledge is shared freely, enabling researchers, educators, and policymakers to build upon each other's work. "Open & Impact" not only accelerates the pace of innovation but also ensures that the benefits of scientific progress are distributed equitably across society. It embodies our commitment to making science a truly collaborative and transformative force.

2. How do you perceive the role of "Open & Integrity" in upholding the standards of our journal?

"Open & Integrity" is fundamental to maintaining the credibility and rigor of our journal. In an era where misinformation can spread rapidly, upholding the highest standards of scientific integrity is non-negotiable. By adhering to strict ethical guidelines, implementing transparent peer review processes, and ensuring open access to data and methodologies, we ensure that the research we publish is both trustworthy and reproducible. This approach not only strengthens the reliability of our journal but also fosters a culture of accountability and transparency within the scientific community. "Open & Integrity" is our promise to readers, authors, and the broader scientific ecosystem that we prioritize quality and honesty above all else.

3. What is your vision for promoting "Open & Interdisciplinary" collaboration through our journal?

My vision for "Open & Interdisciplinary" collaboration is to create a platform where boundaries between disciplines dissolve, enabling researchers to explore the intersections of their fields. Throughout history, many of the most profound scientific breakthroughs occur at the confluence of diverse perspectives, and our journal aims to catalyze such moments of discovery. By encouraging interdisciplinary research and providing a space for cross-disciplinary dialogue, we can address complex global challenges that require holistic solutions. This approach not only enriches the scientific discourse but also fosters innovation by integrating insights from diverse areas of expertise. Through special issues, interdisciplinary forums, and collaborative initiatives, we strive to build a hub for transformative, boundary-spanning research.

4.  How do you envision "Open & Inclusion" contributing to the inclusivity and diversity of our journal's content and community?

"Open & Inclusion" is the heart of our goal of creating a journal that reflects the diversity of the global scientific community. By actively seeking out and amplifying voices from underrepresented regions, genders, and backgrounds, we ensure that our content is enriched by a multitude of perspectives and experiences. This commitment to inclusivity not only advances equity in science but also enhances the quality and relevance of the research we publish. Diverse teams and ideas drive innovation, and by fostering an inclusive environment, we can tackle scientific challenges with greater creativity and rigor. Through mentorship programs, outreach initiatives, and inclusive editorial practices, we aim to build a journal that truly represents and serves the global scientific community.
